How we review

GravyTrain lists 13 ways to earn more from your time and skills. Each is reviewed, and a review means four specific things:

1. Irish rules checked — registration, vetting, insurance, safety or consumer law that applies, linked to the official source.
2. Tax checked — the Revenue rules for this kind of income, with the tax year and the date we last checked (currently 2026-09-25).
3. Costs itemised — what you need to start and what it costs each month.
4. Earnings modelled — an assumed hourly rate range × your hours × the share of those hours that are realistically paid in the first months.

What “reviewed” does not mean

We hold no survey of what people in Ireland actually earn from these side hustles, so we never call an earnings figure “verified”, and we never publish testimonials or success stories. The rate ranges are assumptions, stated as such; check local listings before pricing. Your results depend on your skills, your area, and how consistently you work at it.
